Purpose
The purpose of this privacy policy (this "Privacy Policy") is to inform users of our Site of the following:
-
The personal data we will collect;
-
Use of collected data;
-
Who has access to the data collected;
-
The rights of Site users, including the right to complain; and
-
How to raise a data protection complaint with us directly.
This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the terms and conditions of our Site.
Legal Framework
For users in the United Kingdom, we adhere to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA). The DUAA introduced a phased set of reforms between June 2025 and June 2026, including a new statutory right for individuals to complain directly to us about how we handle personal data, in force from 19 June 2026, and is reflected throughout this Privacy Policy.
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer as we do not fall within the categories of controllers and processors required to appoint one under Article 37 of the UK GDPR.
Consent
By using our Site, users agree that they consent to the conditions set out in this Privacy Policy.
When the legal basis for us processing your personal data is that you have provided your consent to that processing, you may withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, it will not make processing which we completed before you withdrew your consent unlawful.
You can withdraw your consent by emailing us or using the "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of any marketing email or newsletter.
Legal Basis for Processing
We collect and process personal data only when we have a legal basis for doing so under Article 6 of the UK GDPR. We rely on the following legal basis:
-
Users have provided their consent to the processing of their data for one or more specific purposes.
Personal Data We Collect
We only collect data that helps us achieve the purpose set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect any additional data beyond the data listed below without notifying you first.
Data Collected in a Non-Automatic Way
We may collect the following data when you register for a workshop or engage with our Site:
-
First and last name; and
-
Email address.
This data is collected using the following method:
-
Data submitted through our website registration form, hosted on and processed via Wix.com Ltd.'s platform.
If you go on to join the Chiarezza Careers Academy membership community, our membership platform (Skool) will separately collect the data needed to set up and manage your membership, including payment information, in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms, which we encourage you to review.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our Site may use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag where installed, to support core functionality and to understand how our Site is used. Where any cookie is not strictly necessary for the Site to work, we will ask for your consent before it is set, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) as amended by the DUAA. You can manage your cookie preferences through the cookie banner on our Site, or through your browser settings.
How We Use Personal Data
Data collected on our Site will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of our Site. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy.
The data we collect may be used for the following purposes:
-
Sending workshop registration confirmations, reminders and related communications;
-
Sending our email nurture sequence and, where you have consented, our newsletter and other marketing communications; and
-
General communication about Chiarezza Careers Academy.
Who We Share Personal Data With
Employees
We may disclose user data to any member of our organisation who reasonably needs access to user data to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
Service Providers
We share data with Wix.com Ltd., which hosts our Site and processes registration data on our behalf, and, if you join our membership community, with Skool, which operates that community. Both act as data processors or, where relevant, independent controllers of the data they collect directly, and each maintains its own security and data protection safeguards.
Where the Meta Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag are installed on our Site, using it means certain data about your visit is also shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. and LinkedIn Corporation respectively, who act as independent controllers of that data under their own privacy policies. This only happens where you have consented via our cookie banner, in line with the Cookies and Tracking Technologies section above.
Other Disclosures
We will not otherwise sell or share your data with third parties, except in the following cases:
-
If the law requires it;
-
If it is required for any legal proceeding;
-
To prove or protect our legal rights; and
-
To buyers or potential buyers of this company in the event that we seek to sell the company.
If you follow hyperlinks from our Site to another site, please note that we are not responsible for and have no control over their privacy policies and practices.
How Long We Store Personal Data
User data will be stored until the purpose the data was collected for has been achieved. You will be notified if your data is kept for longer than this period.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
Our Site and registration form are hosted on and processed via Wix.com Ltd.'s platform, which maintains its own security infrastructure and data protection safeguards. We recommend reviewing Wix's own privacy and data processing documentation for full detail on how it stores and secures data, including the location of its servers and any international transfer safeguards it has in place.
Our employees are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and a breach of this agreement would result in the employee's termination.
While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times and therefore we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.
Your Rights as a User
Under the UK GDPR, as amended by the DUAA, you have the following rights:
-
Right to be informed;
-
Right of access;
-
Right to rectification;
-
Right to erasure;
-
Right to restrict processing;
-
Right to data portability;
-
Right to object; and
-
Right to complain directly to us about how we have handled your personal data (new from 19 June 2026, see Complaints below), as well as the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
The minimum age to use our website is 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 16 years of age has provided us with personal data, their parent or guardian may contact us using the details below.
We recognise that stating a minimum age does not by itself remove our obligation to consider whether children are likely to access the Site in practice. Our Site is marketed exclusively to working professionals and we have no reasonable basis to expect use by children; we will keep this under review in line with ICO guidance on children's higher protection matters.
How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected
If you would like to know if we have collected your personal data, how we have used it, if we have disclosed it and to whom, or if you would like your data to be deleted or modified in any way, or if you would like to exercise any of your other rights under the UK GDPR, please contact us using the details below.
How to Opt-Out of Data Collection, Use or Disclosure
In addition to the methods described above, you can opt out of the use of your personal data for marketing emails and newsletters by clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email or newsletter.
Complaints
From 19 June 2026, you have a statutory right under the Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended by the DUAA) to complain directly to us if you believe we have infringed the UK GDPR in how we have handled your personal data. To raise a complaint:
-
Email us at admin@chiarezzacareersacademy.com with the subject line "Data Protection Complaint", or write to us at the postal address below.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days of receipt, and will investigate and respond without undue delay, keeping you informed of progress.
If you are not satisfied with our response, or if you would prefer to complain to a supervisory authority directly, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Modifications
This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process. When we amend this Privacy Policy we will update the effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend that our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure that they are notified of any updates. If necessary, we may notify users by email of changes to this Privacy Policy.
